What is First Net?
Mi’kmaq Nova Scotia First Net is the first source for information related to Aboriginal employment, starting an Aboriginal business, education, scholarships and bursaries, latest news and events and to learn about First Nation communities within Nova Scotia.
First Net was developed by the members of the Mi'kmaq Nova Scotia First Net Committee and was officially launched at the Atlantic Canada Portal Conference in March 2005. The proposal and scope of work were prepared by the Economic Development Officers Network (EDON) and supported by the Tripartite Economic Development Working Committee. Currently the site is managed and administered by The Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq.
